This was a shell mounted on a trailer and pulled by a truck to give the
appearance of a car doing all kind of turns and where the actors could
have all kind of dialog. ( really great invention )
Me standing
next to Hero Car #1 on the set.
This is the one I sold to Movie Mike Walsh.
Tell me this was not a beautiful site to see ( both Hero cars being towed
on the set for the night and brought back to Premier Studio ( lucky Movie
Mike ). One of them was the one I sold to Movie Mike
There's the swoosh that did
me in from car #1. A careful template was made by Mike to make it exact
for her sister car when she's restored
Me in car #1 just getting the
feel of where Starsky made this car sing.
Doug's garage where 2 of only
4 TV carsleft have been stored for the past 9 years. Car # 2 is the front
car with no front clip on it. That's now mine. Car #1 is in there rear.
That one Doug still owns.
